What is a mutual fund?
Mutual funds work by group-buying an investment with monthly contributions helping the investor's assets grow. In other words, you pool your money with other investors to "mutually" buy stocks, bonds, and other investments. This is a great option for investors who want exposure to a wide variety of assets. The funds also tend to be less volatile and are also run by professional fund managers who decide which securities to buy (stocks, bonds, etc.) and when to sell them.
